Go to "General entries" - "Feed". 


Here you register the feed consumption, purchase, inventory, and sale of feed. This can be used to calculate feed usage in the E-control report. The feed components themselves are set up at "General entries" – "Component".


 

  • Date: Register the date of the feed registration.
  • Location Code: Register the location to which the feed registration should be connected.
  • Pig type: under "General" – "Administration" – "PigType", there is a setup of different pig types. By adding the pig type to the feed registration, the feed will be divided into the different pig types in the E-control report.

    Enter code of the pig type and the name automatically appears. 
  • Component: Feed components and recipes are set up at "General entries" – "Component". Each feed registration must be connected to a feed component or recipe.

    Enter the code of the component and the name automatically appears.
  • Kg.: Enter the weight (in kg) of the feed used in the registration. 
  • Price Total and Per kg.: If the price per kg has been registered under "General entries" – "Component" the program will automatically register the price per kg and calculate the total price based on the weight. If this is not the case, registering either total or per kg will automatically calculate the other. Values automatically registered or calculated are shown in blue.
  • Energy Total and Per kg.: If the energy per kg has been registered under "General entries" – "Component" the program will automatically register the energy per kg and calculate the total energy based on the weight. If this is not the case, registering either total or per kg will automatically calculate the other. 
  • Type: Select the type of feed registration:
    • Purchase if you have purchased fee
    • Sale if you have sold fee
    • Consumption to register feed usage and consumption. This is a total registration for a given period which e.g. may be read on the feed compute
    • Inventory to register the remaining inventory of the feed

 

The calculation of feed usage in the E-control is different based on the feed registration types. If you e.g. have bought 5 tonnes 4 times and only have 1 tonne left at the inventory, the feed usage is 19 tonnes. The inventory of 1 tonne will automatically be transferred to the next period, though this is not visible in the registration window as it happens automatically.
