If you register the cause of dead piglets, an analysis has been made to report these.

The analysis is based on a given period's registrations of dead piglets. Regardless of whether you use "Dead piglet" where the pigs are registered on the sows, or group registrations in "Dead piglet group.", the analysis can be used.

You will find the analysis at the bottom of the menu: "Analysis Sows" and is called "Dead suckling piglets".

On the left side of the window you will find the various settings, including "Interval". Here you can choose to view indicators:

  • For each day/week/month
  • Weekday, means Monday - Sunday
  • Age, calculated from the time of the sow's farrowing (not possible to calculate for "Dead piglets grp." data)
  • Litter no. means the current sow's litter no. (not possible to calculate for "Dead piglets grp." data)

By default, the visual presentation is made as a graph, if you want to see bars instead, this can easily be changed by clicking on the "Graph setup" icon, which you will find at the top of the window:

Below "Chart type" you can choose whether it should show a graph by putting a dot in "XY plot" or a bar by putting a dot in "Column".

The analysis allows you to get an overview of the causes of piglet mortality within a given period. In the example below, a custom period has been selected in the top left, and events are divided into days.

If the analysis does not show dead piglets, you can see how to solve this here.
