When castrating piglets it is typically a registration for more than 1 sow. To easily register all in one action, you can do this in two methods:
- Set up a filter in "All farm animals"
- Add selected sows to "My worklist"
1. Set up a filter in "All farm animals"
Click on the "All animals" list on the home screen.
Press the filter icon.
Name your work list and go to "Days after action". Here, you can choose "Farrowing" and setup minimum and maximum days after farrowing. These days will decide, when the sows appear on the castration list.
Press "Apply sort and filter" when done.
Now the sows appear on the list and you can treat all or specific animals. When you have selected sows, with the litter you want to register castration for, click "Enter X animals" below.
In "Select an action" click on "Treatment" and choose the medicine from journals and a date.
When the journal is set up for piglets "dose pr pig" appears. The amount of piglets are the liveborn, unless you register any dead for the sow. The amount can be changed before synchronizing.
Click "Save treatment" when done and the litters of the selected sows from the list are treated with medicine.
N.B.: the sows do not disappear from the list before the days of the criteria has expired. If you want a list where the sows disappear when register, see chapter 2.
Nursing sows
Be aware that nursing sows will not be a part of the worklist, but it is possible to set up a worklist for nursing sows as well.
Set "Sow state" as "Lactating" and "Days after action" as "Weaning".
Set the minimum and maximum days according to when the nursing sow was created.
2. Add selected sows to "My worklist"
In "My worklist" you can add animals to the list by typing the sow number, scanning a QR-code or using a scanner for electronic earmarks.
When you have added the sows to your worklist they stay on the list until you take action.
After adding sows to the list, click "Register X animals" below.
In "Select an action" click "Treatment" to register castration for the litters of the selected sows.
Select the medicine from journals and choose a date.
Click "Save treatment" when done.
Now the litters of the selected sows from the list are treated with medicine and the sows are removed from your worklist.
