When you use a action list to register treatments, it is not always all of the animals that should be registered with a treatment. Take castration, for example, where most of the time it is only 50% of the piglets in the litter that needs sedation.

It is possible to setup your journals, where only a percentage of the piglets are registered as treated. In this guide we will use the animal type "Suckling piglets" and the diagnosis "Castration anaesthesia" as an example.

Go to "General" - "Medicine/Vaccine" - "Journal" and find the column "Pct. of piglets". If you don't have this column in your layout, go to "Layout setup" - Edit global layout" - the "Pct of piglets" in the list and tick it off - Click "Ok"

To get an easier overview you can sort on pig type you want to change the percent of piglets. Click in the green filter line beneath "Pig type" - "Name" - write the pig type you want to filter on.

As a standard 100% of the piglets are treated with the journals. Find the column "Pct of piglets" and edit this to 50 for example.
