When numbering breeding piglets where the "Count style" is set to "NUMBERPOOL", it can happen that when numbering the piglets, that not all piglets are tagged. This means that the current number series (Number pool) is used up and a next number series is not available.

Here are two number pools that are coming to an end:

When entering the tagging from the farrowing screen, the program does not warn you at first:

Here the last number available is 69999 but is shows the numbering to 67005.

When you number the next piglets, you can see that there are no numbers available (Blue box). When looking in the Number pool setup; "Breeding, Herd number pool", you can see that the current number pool has come to an end (Red box and arrow).

This means a new number pool has to be created or imported if you are linked to the DanBred breeding company.

Importing number pools from DanBred:

This is done under Breeding, Communication, Download from DanBred:

The next number pool (Red box):

Now open the sow card of the the one where the numbers existed in the current number pool. In this example this is sow 9904.

Double click on the farrow date and there you will see the animals that were not tagged.

Click on "Create unnumbered animals" (Red box).

And the program has now numbered the piglets:

When you come back to the farrowing screen you can continue the numbering of the next piglets.

Note:

If you have the next number pool entered before the current one comes to an end then the program will automatically continue numbering from the next number pool.

Here the new number pool is in place with a start date after the current number pool.

Below shows the numbering of piglets for sow 9897. The red box shows the current number pool and blue box the new number pool:
