'Litter calculation' determines how a litter is calculated/shown in the calculations.

Note: As it is an effect analysis and it is the effect of a specific event being analysed, the end date should be minimum four months back if analysing services and 1 month back if analysing farrowings. This is the earliest you can see the effect it has on the current litter.

‘Events in the period’ is the delimitation of which event requires the data to be included in the calculation.

Options in Litter calculation:

Whole litters: All events will be shown together, i.e. if a sow is serviced on one day and then reserviced on another the results will be shown for the first day.

A litter is calculated from the 1st service and ends with the 1st service of the next litter or a removal. I.e. if a sow is included in the analysis all services and wasted days in that litter will be shown despite some of them possibly not being within the specified period

Split services in whole litters: Services in the same litter will be split into the different days instead of being shown for the first day

Split weanings in whole litters: Weanings in the same litter will be split into the different days instead of being shown for the first day

Options in Event in the period:

The event the pig must have in the period for it to be included in the analysis, e.g. farrowing/abortion or 1st service.
