The stocktake value of an animal is calculated as:

Basic price + kg pigs * price.per.kg pig.

The basic price is the value of a life where as ”kg. pig * price.per.kg pigs” is the value of the weight of the animal.

Note: Stocktake value is not the same as the market value.

Stocktake values can be entered when doing status and it is a part of the calculations at herd shift. It consists of both changes in stock (volume shift) and changing in value (price shift).

If your stocktake is double, the reason could be that you have entered a stocktake for one location twice on the same day.
